Hello, I've searched everywhere for answers, sorry if this was answered anywhere else but I couldn't find it.

My gfx card died it was a AMD 7970 Ghz Edition, it has 2 x 8 pin connectors, so now that I have to buy another gfx card, all the new ones only require 1 x 8 pin connector, but I don't have a 8 pin to 8 pin connector. I have 2 separate 8 pin connector that splits into 2 x 8 pin, I've checked the power consumption my old gfx card (7970 GE) that died required a lot more than the 1070 I'm going to buy that only needs 1 x 8 pin connector. The PSU I own its 800W, so I doubt the power is a problem.

So my question is, my 8 pin splits into 2 x 8 pin, am I able to only use one of the 2 or is that going to create a problem? Since I don't have 1 x 8 pin to 1 x 8 pin.

Tyvm.
