Hello
So i have a B250 Gaming K4 Motherboard (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157748)
Im building a gaming PC and my plan was to take the previous CPU that i have which was an I7 something i dont know the exact specs. So i get the motherboard and i get so hype to put it in, i go to put the CPU in the socket and its not fitting for some reason. I keep trying and trying and its not working. I get so pissed i try jamming it in and sure enough i bend about 2 pins...... Turns out the CPU was too old and the motherboard was to new and they were not compatible with each other. So now im stuck with a $100 motherboard and i dont know if i should use it. So my question to you guys is should i go ahead and just buy the new processor and hope the pins are not bent enough that they will work? Or buy a whole new motherboard? I dont think the pins are bent that bad but i really am not sure.https://imgur.com/a/s9mqi

Solution
You NEED to bend those pins back. Or at least try.

One of my recent systems:
Bent motherboard pins
Before - No boot

After - boot success
