Hi there

Im trying to overclock my Fx6300 cpu to 4.2 for now. Read alot of guides from this forum but cant get it right.

I have a 970a-ds3p (rev 2.1) seen people with 4.3 or 4.4 with that motherboard but somethin in my settings is wrong i think cause its running 4.2 but when prime95 runs the cores are directly going to throthle en BSOD Appears what did i do wrong?

I disabled the following

Turbo OFF
Cool & Quiet OFF
C1E Support OFF
SVM OFF
CPU Core Control AUTO
Core c6 State OFF
HPC Mode (OFF) or turn ON?
APM (OFF) or turn ON?

Voltage Settings
CPU VCORE +0.080V
NB CORE (AUTO)
DRAM Voltage 1.500V (AUTO)
Vcore Loadline Calibration (AUTO)
(read somethin about vcore calibration some say turn on some say turn off)

Please help what do i do wrong even on 4.1Ghz with prime95 its going wrong!.

Greetings
Ricardo

PS: (Pc will be upgraded mid 2018. To ryzen 1600 with new motherboard and videocard but till than i want to overclock for little performance boost)

I've had several Gigabyte AM3+ boards that did that. It usually happened after I made BIOS changes from default. It won't hurt anything, just aggravating. I think it has something to do with the particular BIOS used on those boards. If you set everything back to default, it should go away.

If you've increased the multiplier and getting stress test fails, try taking the vcore up some more. 1.5V is safe if you need that much. You said you raised it by .08v. But the 6300 has multiple vcore settings depending on its P state.
1.425V @ 4.1 GHz, 1.4125V @ 3.8 GHz, 1.225V @ 3 GHz, 1.125V @ 2.5 GHz, 1.025V @ 2 GHz, and 0.9V @ 1.4 GHz
Where is your vcore sitting at now when stress testing?

Is it even possible to raise it so high on my motherboard readed alot about it cant go to high or the vrams are frying if i say it right but i see people reaching 4.3 with 1.35 Volts. If i stress test according to hwmonitor its at 1.35 or 1.36 at 4.0ghz stable
