Hello everyone!

I have decided that I am going to build my first computer. I came here to get any advice you can offer.

I don't have a set budget. I am trying to get the best I can for the cheapest price. I will be using it for gaming purposes at 1080p.

I already have the CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse and windows.

I'm looking at a GTX1060 6GB or AMD RX580 8GB for a GPU.

For memory I was looking at a speed of 2666.

I'm not in a rush to buy everything right now, so I have no problem waiting for a sale.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Unless you need the extra cores/threads of the 1700 then Ryzen 1600 is a great CPU for the price. I went with faster RAM as Ryzen performs better with it however there has been some issues with getting the correct speed, would suggest updating the BIOS then setting the correct speed in the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply. I already bought the R 7 1700. I had planned on getting the R 5 1600 but the 1700 Black Friday sale was to good to pass up.

Other than faster RAM and a bigger SSD for the same price, my selections are good?
