I had an earlier version on one of my systems. Opening the app, I was given an update message. The update was flawless.

I then uninstalled and reinstalled with the download version. No issues there either.

What version of Windows are you running? Is it fully up to date?

The only reason that I can think of (off the top of my head) that this is happening is that it's looking for the .NET Framework and that you are missing one or more components of the Framework. But that should be included with Windows 10.
When it asks for a CD, it should provide some more information about a file that it's looking for or something similar. Can you provide this extra information, please?

It's asking for that file? That's the file that you are running it from. What happens if you select that file?
It sounds like the download might be corrupted. I know you downloaded it multiple times but try clearing your cache and downloading it again.

Understood. I removed the file, by the way.

Are you installing as administrator? Have you tried installing via Safe Mode?
