From the numbers you are posting it sure looks like you are connecting to the default gateway. It assigned (DHCP) address is in the gateway subnet and the DHCP server, where you get that address, is the gateway also. The IP address you are getting is not the default address Windows uses when DHCP fails so you are getting a DHCP assignment.
