Hello everyone

So a few days ago I shut off my pc and didnt think much about it, when i came back home to my surprise after turning it on it said your pc needs to be repaired. I was surprised this happened because i turned off my pc correctly i thought because this has happened many times before when I didn't turn off my computer correctly so I proceeded to get windows on a USB drive so I could reinstall windows to fix it like I always do. When i got to my bios I noticed under boot devices it showed the usb drive and my hard drive but not my ssd. When I started to go through the steps and it asked me where i wanted to install windows my SSD was not there just my hard drive and a partition from my hard drive. This has happend once before and I just umplugged my cables from the hard drive and plugged them back in and the SSD showed up again in my bios and when installing windows but I tried it again this time and it did not work. I have tried looking online to help me out but nothing seemed to work :/ does anyone know how to fix this and get my SSD to show back up.

Thanks

There is the possibility the SSD has failed, the motherbd sata port failed, mother bd bios database corrupted, or a cable has failed. Try swapping cables (with the power off) with a known detected drive and see if it gets detected. Leave the motherbd end of the sata cable where it is, this will put the ssd on a different port.

If the ssd and the hdd both now get detected then the bios's table got corrupted and you should probably make note of any settings that are not at 'default' and then clear the cmos and and reinput those changes.

If the HDD does not get detected, then that motherbd sata port or the sata cable have an issue.
