So recently I have had a problem, my monitor will turn part green (I have pics but don’t know how to upload) this usually happens around boot up or starting a game. Sometimes the pc won’t even give a signal to the monitor if I don’t hold up the pcie cable someone thought that my gpu was too heavy but if I lift it up it the screen will randomly turn green sometimes. I keep the pcie cable held up by tying a shoelace too it and it keeps it up but again it turns on but it randomly turns green sometimes this has been happening for a while now. All my drivers are updated my specs are the following.

Gtx 1060 3gb OCV1
Prime h270 plus
Intel i7-7700 processor
A power supply with more than enough power( I’ve tested multiple psu’s so power is not the problem and my pc is a pre built so they wouldn’t give me a psu with not enough power
2 sticks of 3gb ram

Ps: I just got access to total war arena beta and really need to fix this problem because the green screen always happens when I play the game.

I had the issue once. Make sure both sides of the display cable (dvi, vga, cdmi, etc) are plugged in tightly, otherwise, not all of the pins make contact, causing a blackout/color distortion. If not, your display cable may have become defective. If you have another one, try it out. If it works, ta-da. If not, let me know. Cables shouldn't be too expensive if you need one.

Hope you have an at least semi modular psu. If you have to tug on the pcie power cable for it to work, it looks like the cable is done for. I would suggest getting a new cable or if you can’t, a new psu.
