While tightening down my cpu cooler for my ryzen 3 1200, I hear squeaking noise coming from the springs, which I don't think is normal, I know it sounds stupid but since it's my first build I'm a bit paranoid, any ideas?
Thanks.
What cooler is it? and what motherboard?
I'm assuming it's plastic/nylon in the parts somewhere that would make that sound..steel doesn't squeak.
As SR-71 said, as long as you're not over-tightening it, it's probably perfectly fine.
Probably nothing to worry about as long as you didn't over tighten the heatsink.
I think so too, though the noise was so loud with each time I turn the screw and with each screw that made me think it's abnormal.
And when I took out the stock bracket to install the cooler, the cpu backplate on the mobo fell down, it is normal too? I have a gigabyte ab350m gaming 3.

I have a gigabyte ab350m gaming 3 and the stock cooler for ryzen 3 1200. Its not really a squeaking sound, I know it comes from the springs under the screw and ít's like the sound when you force a spring to turn. More like crackling I'd say..
