8600k Core and Cache Overclock

Using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, whats the recommended core and cache multiplier in the basic tuning tab? First time overclocking and I want to get this right

I would consider going with the UEFI/BIOS overclocking method and look for an article/video about overclocking your motherboard, or one very close to it from the same company (i.e. Asus).

Intel and other SOFTWARE methods often pick excessive voltage to be more stable but can run a lot HOTTER than you might want.

I agree with photonboy. I have the 8600K and all I had to do initially was the change the cpu core multiplyer to 47, leave eveything else in auto and it worked overclocking to 4.7GHZ. I then moved slowly up and have settled on a 4.9GHz overclock with an offset vcore with a max at 1.278v. I did set the LLC to high...On my motherboard the options for LLC are Auto, Medium, High and Turbo. Anyway.
