Hi all,

So I recently finished my new gaming PC. It's running Windows 10 home and doesn't have any built in WiFi so I connected an ethernet cable to it. However after that I noticed that on both ends of the connection it has a flashing yellow light next to it, and whenever I search something up and click a link, it is insanely slow, taking 2-10 minutes to load. When I paste a link into the url bar however, it is almost instant. In settings it says the ethernet connection is running at 1 gb/s. I've tried switching cables, switching connectors on the modem, and downloading drivers, however none of those worked.

Specs:
Intel i5-7600k
8gb of DDR4 3200mhz RAM
1TB HDD
120GB SSD
GTX 1070
ASUS PRIME Z270.A
Windows 10 home 64 bit

Please help ASAP,
Thanks!

The yellow light probably means you are connected at 1 gig. If you do a speedtest online does it come back normal for your connection? Are there other systems you can test this on in the house to see how they act with links?
