Changed Alienware x51 r1 pc GPU to r3 GPU which is gtx960 and its not working

My pc is
CPU Intel Core i7 (3rd Gen) 3770 / 3.4 GHz
Max Turbo Speed 3.9 GHz
Memory: 8gb
GPU: gtx555 changed into gtx960
Alienware™ 240 Watt Power Supply (Standard)

I used to have gtx555 and i changed it into gtx960 and it works but when i play games it will show 20fps only I dont know what is the problem. When I enter the game it shows 120 fps and after 10 second it dramatically drops to 20fps. I have changed and updated my drivers also considering to upgrade my windows to win10. What should i do? How to make my gpu fit normally?

I didnt mean its not fitting into my case. I thought it is not really working properly with my motherboard. I meant how to make it work fine.Also sorry for wrong information i just realized that my power supply is 330W. I checked my gpu and its normal temprature was 67c and when i start playing it gets 97c, it means it is overheating right? I just bought it newly and is it mean i got faked? Is there anything i can fix it? And thank you for your reply you helped me a lot.

if you did not then it is dumping all the heat into the crappy case and that would explain the overheating




make sure the other fans on the case are working
