Which processor should I buy

Hey guys so Im doing VFX next year and I need a PC build so Im wondering which processor should I get the ryzen 1700x or the i7 8700k

The rest of my PC will be
Gtx 1080
650watt PSU
Samsung 960 Evo 250gb
16gb ram
And a liquid cooler which processor should I get it's for VFX only

for this usage ryzen 1700x will be a better choice .
it´s a bit cheaper and the extra 2 cores and 2 threads will come in handy
(despite i7 having a better raw performance per core)

(however if this would be a computer mainly used for gaming i7 would be a clear winner)
