ryzen 1800x vs dual xeon x5650 workstation

hi all
i am going to buy a render workstation(no gaming - just modelling and rendering vray -3ds max - sketchup)
so i am thinking which system is better performance,
Ryzen 1800x (16 ram 3200 mhz - Gtx 1060 6gb)
or
(used hp z800 ) dual xeon x5650(32 ram 1800mhz ECC - gtx 1060)

which is better and why ?

There are few benchmarks to compare them, but their performance should be similar. Why only 16GB with the Ryzen 1800x?

If the cost difference is very significant, then the used hp z800 may be a better buy, but there probably is no warranty on it.
