After connecting it via USB OTG green ring just keeps blinking and that's all. USB OTG connector is probably working, because pendrives are working just fine. How to make it work? All tutorials are like "connect it via cable and you are done".

I've never had an Xiaomi device, but my understanding is several of them are quite popular. I'm not sure if the Pro is different, but this may get you started, XDA is definitely the place to be for Android stuff. Do some reading over there. XDA Redmi Note3 Section Tons of resources there.

What kind of phone do you have? If you have a popular one they are pretty hard to actually brick. If you have something less popular, then you want to be more careful. Either way lots of the solutions and troubleshooting that I've seen require root access.

Yeah, that's what I thought, there is a section in there just for the one with the Snapdragon processor. Odds are though if you search on there for the Xbox controller you'll find someone who has a solution. Looks like plenty of traffic / development for that device.
