I installed Ubuntu on a partition on my desktop pc running windows after using it on my laptop as main OS for programming. Well while I was setting everything up on my pc I left for a while and Ubuntu went in sleep mode. When I came back it would not recognize my mouse and keyboard, it wouldn't let me boot on windows either my pc would boot to a black screen and I would eventually hear the Ubuntu startup sound (the leds on my mouse and keyboard would flash when I pressed a button) so I looked online for a solution and I had to reset cmos which worked for windows only sadly. Now I can use my keyboard to select os but if I boot into Ubuntu the problem still exists. I tried booting to a previous kernel but still I can't use my periferals, not even in recover mode, I have found plenty of ways to try and fix It but they all require me to have access to a terminal (which I have) but I can't write anything to it. I tried even booting from a flash drive and that had even more issues I don't even want to think about. I tried every mouse and keyboard I had laying around and nothing. If I don't find a solution I'll have to wipe the hdd partition from windows disk manager and reinstall which is something I really not want to do.
