Hello, i've been struggling with a problem on on my computer for a while now and its getting to the point where i need a new one if i cant fix it, but since it is a good computer i thought i would try to figure out the problem before buying a new. I would love some help with this since im not that good with computers :/ the problems are as following
-fps drops while playing all games, very big one aswell, I used to have 100+ fps playing leauge, now i often struggle to obtain 60 with the lowest settings, the fps problem seems to be getting worse as i play more aswell.
-Another problem, most likey connected to the first is that the pc (laptop) is making crackling sounds when the fps drops, not sure if thats normal or not. To be more accurate, any sound that is on when the fps drops (music for instance) is starting to crackle, if there is no sound on then the laptop itself dosnt crackle. Thats basicly the problem, overheating may be the issue here but it doesnt seem that warm, and i've cleaned the fans without luck. A long time ago my friend spilled some water that got into my laptop and i've been thinking the problem may got something to do with that.
the laptop i have is MSI geforce ge70 2pe apache pro
specs :
CPU The 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processor
OS Windows 8.1
CHIPSET Intel® HM87
MEMORY DDR3L up to 16GB x 2 DIMMs

GRAPHICS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
GRAPHICS VRAM 2GB GDDR5
STORAGE Up to 256GB Super RAID + 750GB HDD 7200rpm

as i said i appriciate any help

okay then, downloaded speccy and it turns out i indeed have a overheating problem. almost every component is above average temperature, they are as follow
motherboard - 30, Graphics (gpu) - 45 Storage - 36 (sata) 45 (ssd), CPU as high as 90..
these are all celsius :) I was doing tasks on the computer, but nothing to heavy, a couple of google tabs open and watching a youtube video, i imagine it beeing worse when i am playing a game :/ I've always cleaned my fan regulary, is there anything else i can do to fix this problem?
Cool that i finally found out the problem tho, appreciate it

Okay i've found multiple sources now and they are not quite agreeing on what temperature the components are overheating, are these temperatures too high compared to my specs? :)

Bit of an update here. Changed the settings on maximum cp usage to 60%, it was at 100 on default. This changed the temperature from 90 to 70. I'm afraid the temperature will still rise alot when im playing a game so im gonna apply new thermal paste on the cpu/gpu tomorrow :) this seems to be working out! :D will confirm if solved

New update. I cleaned the fan, and airways, applied new thermal paste, I also downloaded throttlestop and disabled turboboost. After all this the cpu's temperature has been improved. (around 40-50 C when idle and 70-80 when playing games.) Are these temperatures doable? are there any underlaying problems i still have that somehow can damage my computer? either way this definitly helped :)
