I have an AMD FX 8320E CPU and an Asus M5A78L-M PLUS mobo, but when I test the CPU in Prime95 it goes down from the original clock (even when not overclocked) to 2.7 ghz on some of the cores (about 4 at a time) and in the win 10 task manger it says it is only using ~90% - 97% (depending on the clock) of the CPU.
Would changing which fan is blowing help?
To be honest, I could put a heatsink over the mosfets but I was wondering if there would be a cheaper alternative or maybe a place where I could get some mosfet cooling on a budget.
Extra info:
- my mobo only has 1 place for a case fan to be plugged in to and it is at the side of my case right above the IO (2 at idle at the top)
- I have a stock cooler (should probobly upgrade that soon)
- My mobo has no APM setting in my BIOS that I know of
