would a I5 4670k, 1060 and a H81M-HDS motherboard work together.

Like Mark said, they will work, once you add DDR3 RAM, but that is an overclocking processor and a Non-overclocking motherboard. While it won't cause a problem, just know that you won't be able to overclock with that motherboard. Oh and btw, the 4670k is still a good processor, strong enough for the majority of things and should be able to work just fine with almost any GPU.
