Dell latitude D620 external graphics card

Hello everyone. I have an old Dell latitude d620 with 3 gb ram, a core 2 duo t7600 with windows 7 installed. It's got a terrible intel intergrated graphics card. I'm curious about how well it could perform with a graphics card so is there any way I could hook up a graphics cards to this?

You're going to be stationary so being wired isn't a big deal. I think I did see the second one under the keyboard as well.

You'd need a mpcie to pcie x16 adapter, psu, gpu, monitor and since you have to take off your keyboard, you need one of those. The popular adapter has been the exp gdc but prices have been going up and you can find cheaper, better generic ones. https://www.ebay.com/itm/222367957172 Be aware mpcie is only x1 which can bottleneck the gpu to up to half the performance. Usually it's not that bad and just about any gpu will get more performance than that intel igpu anyways.

Just about every laptop uses mpcie (m.2 for modern) for a wifi card so most are possible but the usual dealbreaker is if it requires you to take it apart more than they'd like. Yours requires you to take off the keyboard to get to it which isn't too bad but it's your choice if you want to.

I don't mind ripping it apart, I'm fine with that. I've taken it apart before, and I'm pretty sure it has a second mpcie port that doesn't have anything in it. How would I set up an external gpu with this? What would I have to buy and such.
