I cant figure out why I can't SLI, I have a Asus Z270F Motherboard with two ASUS Strix 1080TIs, currently using a Samsung m.2 SSD. I'm not completely computer savy so here is what I know. My m.2 SSD is using up 4 of your 20 avabile PCIe lanes, only leaving 16x for your graphics cards, in theory and application they should both be working at 8x speed but for some reason I Can only get the one at 8x and one doesn't even show up. Both Cards work because when I plug one in by itself to the x16 slot it works and if I plug the other in the x16 it works. Currently I have them both installed and the only one working is the one is the 2nd PCIE slot. Thank you guys so much in advanced.

I have to say i don't understand why you are having this problem, but you can look over the "PCH Configuration" under Advanced in your BIOS. Look at;

1. "PCI Express Configuration"
2. "PCH Storage Configuration"
3. "Onboard Devices Configuration"

Do you have anything plugged into the 3rd x16 slot?
