Hey guys I brought a used I7 3770K and a H61 mobo since i5 4440 was bottlenecking my GTX 1070 ...My question is do I need a better motherboard ..I run 2x8GB sticks and a single GPU and I7 3770K at stock clocks ...

Wouldn't worry about it. 3770K is on it's CPU support list assuming you have the bios updated it will accept it. It's not like you're sticking a 220W FX-9590 on a $100 motherboard. Dell makes boards with lower quality parts and they work fine with i7's. The only thing you can't do is overclock.

A better motherboard?? Normally every motherboard works the same (as long as they work properly in the first place) as long as it has the PCI E slot the 1070 needs, supports the I7 3770k, and supports 2x8GB ram sticks.

Also btw, the 3770k isn't much faster than the i5 4440 (somewhat near 10-50% faster)
