For my secondary system at work I'm looking for a better second hand GPU to replace my aging HD7850 1GB. Up to now; it worked pretty decent even in more recent games, but Cod WW2 broke that experience - the lack of VRAM causes it to fall back to around 15 fps in certain memory intensive maps on LOWEST settings and 720p resolution. So I'm willing to spend some cash to get a better card, but it doesn't have to be new since my main system will receive a more expensive new GPU soon too (now also has a HD7850, will go to RX 580 in a few months).
Usually I buy AMD, but willing to consider Nvidia if I can get more performance at the 100 EUR/USD pricepoints. Cards that I already saw:
- AMD Radeon R9 280X (3GB) (stock OC)
- AMD Radeon HD7970 (AIB OC) (3GB, same Tahiti chip as first card)
- AMD Radeon R9 285 (3GB)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
Rest of my build:
- Coolermaster CM130 (mini ITX case)
- Asus P8H67I-Deluxe (mini ITX mainboard)
- Intel Core i5 2400 quadcore (recently upgraded from a Pentium G860 dualcore)
- 8 GB Hynix DDR3 1333
- Western Digital WD5000AAKX (500gb 7200rpm hdd)
- Seasonic M12II Evo 520 (recently upgraded from a crappy unbranded 350w PSU)
- Iiyama ProLite E2271HDS (1080p) screen
- Win 10 x64
- Club3D HD7850 RoyalKing (small OCd) 1GB VRAM
