IS Asus GTX1060 6gb OC compatible with LG 34UC79G-B? I mean is the monitor going to work on 144hz with ASUS Nvidia card or it will be just 60hz?
I read some comments in reddit that MSI 1060 is workin on 144hz, also watched a video that one guy running Gygabite 1060 Xtreme Gaming on 144hz with the same monitor, but from LG service center in Bulgaria said it wont work unless my card is Ti but it will on LG 34UC89-B(and I'm not sure if that's some kind of marketing strategy to make me buy the the more expensive model).

Yes, it should be compatible. However, you won't be able to use Freesync since you're not using an AMD card.

not many games will have enough fps to make it worth the high refresh rate with a 1060

unless all you want to play is overwatch or csgo

LG 34UC89-B is a gsync monitor, the gtx 1060 would make use of this
