Really good pc running games in low fps

I have a pretty decent pc,
Specs:
Intel i7 quad core processor(3.7ghz)
16gb ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

I was running games such as cs:go, h1z1 and payday at close to 100fps if not better however after not using my pc for about a month ive went back on it and cs:go is only running at a measly 20-30fps.
Would really appreciate some help or suggestions, thanks .

Also to add to what was already said it might be worth it to look at what frequency your cpu is running at because I had a very similar situation before and it turned out that a sensor on the board was faulty and my cpu was only running at 1.8 ghz.

What are your CPU/GPU temps? I would download Intel XTU and run a stress test. Watch your CPU temps though XTU. If they get above 90C then your system is thermal throttling and is down clocking to prevent damage.

Are you overclocking the CPU/GPU? If so, I would brink it back to stock settings.

I honestly havent checked, i'll check them the next time im on it, i think i may have overclocked usint the Inno3D utillity called tuneit, ill try reseting them to default. Thanks for the quick reply.
