CPU temps ridiculously high.

So I bought a pre built from ibuypower that has a i7 8700k CPU and a GTX 1080 Ti GPU. I finally received the pc In the mail and managed to set it up. Everything was going ok until I loaded into a game(battlefield 1) and noticed that my frame rate was extremely low given that I had a GTX 1080 ti. So I decided to monitor CPU usage and temps using hwmonitor. My GPU was running a little high at about 80°C. But my CPU was running a a whopping 94°C after seeing this I immediately shut down the game and the idle temperature went back down to about 30°C. Can someone tell me wtf is going on with this system?

Never seen that case until now..pretty trippy!
If you have the two front fans blowing in, it's ideal to have one at the back exhausting, that way you get maximum airflow straight across the CPU/Heatsink. There are better air cooling solutions now-a-days than the EVO 212 (have a look at Cyroig and Noctua reviews) but even then, you may still want to adjust your fancurve.

I believe it has a 212 evo, I should add that I haven't overclocked the system In any way

No overclocking has been done and as I said the system appears to have a hyper 212 evo inside. I may remove it and reinstall it to see if there were any problems.

The EVO 212 is decent.
I'd remove the heatsink and paste, and the reapply and remount.
If you're sure you've done that right, you can also usually go into the BIOS and set a more aggressive fan curve for the CPU fan, but eliminate the first two possibilities 1st.

I'll give at a try, unfortunately since this system wasn't built by me it makes it hard to really know what parts were used and how well the system was actually put together.

Quick question, there's a little removable piece of paper at the bottom of the CPU cooler, should that be removed?

The temperatures are better but not by much, the new range is anywhere from 75 to 85 degrees

Pretty professional they left that on there ! %^/
I know your CPU can run pretty hot, and BF1 is quite demanding.
I have the EVO 212 on a 6700K and hit around 75/76c. What case are you using, and how are the intake and exhaust fans set up?
You can also try adjusting the Heatsink fancurve in the BIOS as I suggested to make it more aggressive.

The case is a snowblind, there are 3 other case fans besides the CPU fan, one right next to the CPU, the other two are on the front panel. I may have to resort to getting a better CPU fan from Newegg or something. It's not a big deal and they're usually pretty easy to install.
