Hello you wonderful Techies,

Today i'm asking for your help:

Last Week i finally build my first Desktop PC
with following components:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600 Boxed
GPU: MSI GTX 1500TI Gaming X
    RAM: 16 GB G.Skill Ripjaws 5 3200MHz
    MOBO: MSI B350 Gaming Plus
Drive: 512 GB Trancsend SSD (taken out of my old Laptop)
    Drive: 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
    PSU: Corsair CSM 550W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB
    OS: Windows 10 Pro
First step i took (even before installing OS) was to change the Speed of my RAM
which defaulted to 2333MHz, first i tried it using the supplied XRP-Profile
this made the PC go to a Bootloop, so i reset the CMOS and manually played with the Speed,
lastly got it working with 3066MHz and a 16-18-18-38 clock.
I Setup my OS, installed the latest drivers using DriverEasy (which is a great program btw!)
And started installing all wanted games and programs.

to cut to the chase, i randomly get freezes which i can't link to any program/task/game,
it just randomly freezes even when idling, it freezes for <1Min and then works the tasks i gave it in the freezetime one by one like a que.
Whats interesting to me is that the freezes not always (~70% do tho) freeze the whole Windows but only certain parts of it
sometimes a new explorer window, sometimes my chrome browser, sometimes a game window etc.,
in those cases i can for example still press shift and my keyword will show that i have CAPS enabled.
Also i noticed while monitoring the Taskmanager that for the time of the freeze my C: Drive jumps from X to 100% Disk usage
but since it freezes i can't figure out what process makes it drive to 100%

I Already ran Programs and commands like:

  • SSDScope to check my SSD
    Heavy Load to check RAM/CPU/GPU
    Prime95 to check RAM
    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk C: /f
to no avail, i couldn't even narrow the problem down.
Does someone have an idea on how to proceed?

Bumping is not allowed.

Try dropping your memory to the default 2133 speed and see if it stabilizes. Also, make sure your BIOS is trying to automatically OC your CPU.

You want to start from stable stock speeds, if possible, to rule out any problems.
