Computer won’t turn on when SSD is plugged in

I built a computer and figured out that when I plugged in any SSD to my computer it would not turn on. I plugged in the sata port and it turned on, but when I plugged in the power supply to it, the whole system turned off. My power supply is a Rosewill photon. What do I do?

Did you install the standoffs in the case, before you installed the mobo?

And you did connect the ATX12v, cpu fan and 24 pin right?

Yes, and I got my first SSD and it did the same thing. I thought it was deffective so I sent it back in and got another one, yet it still did the same thing.
