Hi all, complete newbie here (so hopefully my issue has an easy fix!). I bought this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320074 Wireless Adapter for this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883102269 prebuilt desktop. When I went to install the Wireless Adapter into one of the PCIe x1 slots, I found that the alignment is such that the wireless adapter will not fit into the slot (all the PCIe slots are about 2mm too far to the left for my adapter). Here are pictures of my situation: https://imgur.com/gallery/vR9MB

So, my question is this: is there an easy fix that I'm missing, such as how I am trying to install the Wireless Adapter, or is the Adapter simply incompatible with my ASUS PRIME Z270-P motherboard?
All input is appreciated. I would rather not stretch Ethernet cables across my entire house :)

That's exactly how I've been trying to do it. I removed multiple blanks to try all of the open PCIe slots, but the wireless adapter is still about 2mm out of alignment with the mobo no matter the slot. I may have to buy a usb wireless adapter since I have no other options.
