I just bought this thing a couple weeks ago during Black Friday sales on Amazon. It's suppose to be really easy to do where you just plug everything and press a button for a few seconds to get connected. Well, it arrived and I set up everything just fine, but for whatever reason my computer isn't able to connect to it. It doesn't show up on my pc at all. I connected the first one to my modem directly instead of the router and the second one to my pc, both using the ethernet cables that came with it. All the lights are solid green and I pressed the reset button and the reset button on my modem to connect them but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone who's bought these, can you tell me what I did wrong?

Not sure what you mean by it not showing up in your PC, it should not show up as anything, it will just give you an IP address when you connect to it. Why are you not connecting it to the router? When you do an ipconfig command what IP does it show? Is it the right one for your setup, should start with a 192 or a 10.

I have the Netgear genie app and it does show up there, but is it not suppose to at least show up as a wired ethernet connection on the computer to connect to it? I figured it would be a wired connection because of the ethernet cables using the outlets as a line.It just shows up as an unidentified network with no internet.
