Ryzen 5 1600 is cheaper than i5 8400 where I live

So I noticed that the r5 1600 is cheaper than the i5 8400 where I live, but when I checked for the online prices, the i5 8400 is cheaper.

Changing the currency to USD, the r5 1600 is 200.2 and the i5 8400 is 218.75.

Any explanation?

The Core i5 8400 is a much better CPU than the Ryzen R5 1600, even with the Ryzen CPU overclocked, for games and any workload that is not heavily threaded.
Prices of the two are generally similar.
Motherboards for the Ryzen are generally cheaper.
