Clean the drive and restart install process.
Boot from windows install media, go to command prompt and execute:
- diskpart
list disk
select disk 0 (verify that you select the right disk. Next command destroys any data on the drive.)
clean
exit
Reboot and relaunch windows install.
could include the exact command to use in the cmd window
thanks
clean is the specific command.
But you need to do the preceding steps to get to the proper drive.
I did clean it but i meant how to input the said commands in CMD because when i type them in it says wrong command for ex I type diskpart in CMD and press enter and it says no such command
thanks
Give us the
full text of what appears on your screen, including the parts that you don't type.
This is probably just trying to read from the wrong folder or drive.
For instance:
The exact text of "C:\Users\YourName\ diskpart.exe" will fail, because it is trying to read from the wrong drive and folder.
So what does yours show.
A screencap if possible.
