CPU Overheating? Weird case.

So,

A couple of weeks ago was when i first noticed that my PC shut down for no apparent reason. I didn't think much of it, didn't happen for a while again anyways.
A week ago it happened again and since then quite frequently. It would happen randomly (me browsing, watching some vids) or when I did expect it (me playing GTA V).

I've got an AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3,5 Ghz
8GB of RAM
A GTX 1060
A thermaltake 530 Watt power supply (which is why i think it has nothing to do with the supply, tho i could be wrong.)

The thing is, once I restarted my pc I noticed the CPU temp was above 70 and as i am writing this it's 65 (i'm not doing much.)

Could the CPU be overheating? The rmp's seem to be fine on my speedfan (though the fan numbers sometimes spikes up to a number that seems very unlikely -678000, speedfan not right?)

Could anyone help me out here, it's really annoying and very unpredictable. Sometimes I'm spending hours on my pc, other times not even minutes before it shuts down.

Thanks!

Update! I've noticed it shuts down around 80 degrees celsius.
Have applied new thermal paste, but no good... Does anyone have any idea? I watched the temperatures climb up in the loading screen of gta and as soon as it reached 80 that was game over
CPU fan running at rougly 3500

One thing you can maybe do for the time being if you still want to use your computer is maybe mess with power options to change the minimal and maximum processor power.

I remember when I had an issue myself having a 8350FX sort of getting real hot (really wasn't getting hot idling, mainly when playing real demanding games) is I lowered my max processor power to like 75-80% and kept the minimum at like 5%? and then I didn't have issues of overheating when idling or I guess playing games.

I did this mainly as a quick work around till I cleaned my pc out... once I cleaned my pc out of the dust then I was able to go back to 100%, but still kept the min processor power at like 5%, I really cannot test it anymore since I upgraded my PC: CPU, MB, Case... I kept my same RAM, and GPU.

Maybe you will need to think of cleaning out your case, since if there is dust that can really insulate and keep the heat in... like before I blew my cpu stock cooler out there was like a lot of dust built up in the vents (or whatever the metal thing is on the heatsink called) and after that was blown out I noticed my CPUs on my old 8350 dropped a good 10+ degrees.
