How can i keep my passively cooled gpu cool (gt 1030) when gaming

i'm not a proffessional about graphics cards, so i have to ask you all another question, so my gpu is passive cooled, it doesn't have a fan, so how can i keep it cool if it doesn't have a fan?

If your case supports a side fan and you want lower temps then put one in as a intake to blow air onto the GPU which should lower it noticeably. I did this on a SLI setup and it lowered the tops GPU by about 5C and the lower one around 7C.

i'm getting about 83 degrees when gaming and it never goes more than that, but i got this card just yesterday, so there shouldn't be any problems, but there is cause it's too hot

Why are you concerned about temperatures? Just an idle thought? Or are you trying to solve a problem?

If you are just curious, get HWMonitor and check your temps. Leave it running for a little while and it will record the highest temp as well as the current. You can then google max safe temp gt 1030 and compare the values.

Yes, just every once in awhile clean the dust out of the system.

As you can see from the test the passive cards run quite warm, max temp on that 1030 is 97C however it shouldn't come near that as long as you keep it clean.

thanks, i think i'll buy a fan, but for now i'll just stick with a passive version and one more thing, i bought my whole computer last year and haven't cleaned it since, is that ok?

Not really, quite a bit of dust can accumulate over that time, I clean my system once a month. While you don't need to be that thorough maybe every other month may be more reasonable.

Probably not.
Depending on how dusty is your place, you should clean your pc 2 times per year minimum.
Use compressed air cans (or blow dust out yourself, if you have strong lungs). :)
