Recently I've purchased several new parts for my old system, and they are:
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z270-A
CPU: Intel i7-7700K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16Gb 3000Mhz
And my old parts are:
GPU: Galax GTX 1070 EXOC 8Gb
PSU: Antec 600W
I assembled the new system correctly, but when I boot it on, the fans, GPU, and hardrive seemed to be working, there were no beep noise, but the display reads 'No signal'.
I suspect that the motherboard is currently incompatible with the CPU as it requires an BIOS update for it to work. Is it really true that Z270 chips need to be updated to support Kaby Lake? If so, how do I update this motherboard? I went to Asus' website to download its update files, but they're different to the ones I saw on other tutorials (namely, it's missing the .CAP files I've been seeing on Youtube).
Any other diagnosis is welcomed.
Thank you!
