audio jack not working after using new headphones

im using new headphones with wider cord plugs than the old ones and the ports slightly looser now are dey broken?

Most likely.
What headphone did you use?
Motherboards accept 3.5mm plugs. If you use something wider (not sure how you could)
then it would spread the contacts inside the jack wider so that they would no longer
touch a 3.5 plug. Hopefully you have working front jacks..don't destroy them.
