Hi all,

I've just bought two new monitors, but my system is having trouble detecting the second monitor.

Both screens have a DVI, VGA and HDMI port.

My GTX 1050 has a DVI, HDMI and DP.

I connect the first monitor via DVI to DVI. The second monitor is connected by HDMI to HDMI (Both connected straight into the 1050).

My system will detect the second monitor, but the second monitor itself seems to think its not being detected. It turns on, then says No VGA detected, or something along those lines, then goes into sleep mode.

I can't find an answer anywhere, and am hoping someone else has experienced this issue and can point me in the right direction.

My GTX 1050 driver is up to date FYI.

OS is Windows 10.

Hi Kanewolf,

I'm new to this forumand accidently voted your reply downward lol

Ok, so for example, if I connected my PC up to the monitor that isn't being detected, and used the menu to select HDMI, and then switch back to the other monitor as the main, would it possibly work? Is that what you're suggesting?
As currently when the second monitor isn't being detected, I can't actually access any of the menu options on that monitor as it won't stay on any longer than a few seconds before it sleeps again.

Actually, to be honest, I am only using that button to wake it up and not actually pressing it a second time to flick through the different input options! I shall give it a try when I get home!

This would explain why the system is picking it up in windows, but the screen itself is still selected as VGA, therefore showing nothing.

Thank you so much for your assistance!
