I am looking for a new CPU, Motherboard, and RAM to game at 4k. My budget is $450 for all three.

Current Build
CPU: i5-4460
Motherboard: GA-B85M-D3V
Ram: 8gb ddr3 798 MHz

PS. I am planning on getting a 1080 ti and a Seasonic S12II 620 Bronze power supply.

Given it's significantly higher base clock speed and further OCing capability, a quad-core i3 8350K processor will almost certainly be faster where you need it (i.e. for gaming, which are usually not particularly multi-threaded) and also saves you some money. Not sure why SR-71 Blackbird recommended the 8400???
