Question About Building a Gaming PC

I have build a cheap light gaming PC in the past and have used it for years. at the time i could barely afford it and had to buy it during high school. In late i have grown to desire something better. There will be a series of questions that will grow and change as it goes along. However i am going to start off with this: I play a variety of games and am wandering what type of hardware will it take to run games like PUBG, ARK or GTA V with pretty good graphics at 60fps+ and please include the price as well.

This would be top notch gaming system:
  • Cpu - Intel i5 8400 ~$200
    Ram - DDR4 16GB ~$100
    Motherboard - Intel z370 ~150
    Gpu - GTX 1070 ~ $400
    PSU - 500W , reputable brand ( Seasonic, XFX, Evga) ~ $70

    Total ~ $920
If that seems to be too expensive, you can replace
  • Cpu - i3 8100 ~ $110
    Gpu - GTX 1060 6GB ~ $250
    ___________
    Total ~ $680
