The motherboard won't work inside the case

I just finished building my new pc last week, everything worked ( after a bit of a headache because the motherboard is a little too sensitive at the ram sockets , it's a Gigabyte z270 gaming k3, and the case is a nzxt h440 new edtion by the way ) and the next day after I've managed to put it together it stopped working, I've tried anything in the book to make it work until I said " let's try take it out of the case" and it worked, after 2 days of working outside the case without any problem I tried to put it back it , as soon as I put the screws in, I connected the power supply and tried to start it manually without connecting any wire from the case, and it refused to start, not even a bootloop or anything , it just refused to start .
If I really have to change the motherboard I would appreciate if someone could suggest me one in the same price range (150$) for an intel i7700k with a gpu msi 1070 X

Solution
You need to figure out where it's shorting out; make sure there are no extra posts and that the back plate isn't causing a short. All motherboard holes should be centered with the mounting posts.

Remove all devices from the case. Connect motherboard with only CPU and cooler to PSU. Use onboard graphics to check that BIOS starts. Now put the MB in the case, try again checking that BIOS comes up via onboard graphics. If that works, add one other component, try it again, add another component try again etc.. Till you find the component that causes your problems.

I've already tried that, when I tried to put it back in I had only the cpu, the cooler and a ram stick in, in the same exact spots as I keep them outside the case , and the only difference was 2 in the case it refuses to even light a led or make a sound

I had all the screws in. I will try and see if the backplate is causing a short or any of the screws tonight and post an update. also there is another little thing I observed, if I put the screw that's close to the ports it seems to pull them a little too down and it doesn't match the upper part of the holes. so I am thinking it is a problem of fitting the case properly

I just got some time and worked on it yesterday and fixed it , it seems that without the screw that messed the UI alignment and bended it a little too much it works without a problem, I tried to just loosen it up before but it seems it needs to be completely removed.

Thanks everyone for giving me advice.
