Turn off wireless mouse without on/off switch

Hello. I just bought a wireless mouse which doesn't have an on/off switch. Is there any way to set my laptop to somehow turn it off after a certain period of not using it? Like turning off the usb port or something.I want to save my batteries' life. I own a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 Home OS. Thank you!

Without an on/off switch you either just need to have it go to low power mode on it's own or remove the battery. Turning off the USB port will not do anything for the mouse since it's not actually attached to it.
