Hi there.

Now I've been having a real bad problem here. I've turned my laptop (Alienware 17, GeForce GTX860M, Intel Core i5-4210M CPU 2.60GHz) this morning and noticed plenty of screen tearing on my games.
So far I've seen it happen on Rainbow Six Siege, Verdun and PUBG. The only game that had no screen tearing was Garry's Mod.

Now I've been looking for a solution for a while and so far have tried setting the games to High Priority in the Task Manager, enabling Vertical Sync and Triple Buffering on Nvidia Control Panel but none of that has worked.

Please, I'm dyin' here. Any help will be appreciated

Update: Solved the problem in R6S, just had to turn V-sync in game. Might solve the issue in other games.

But any help in identifying why this began happening in the first place or how to solve it completely would me more than appreciated.

Put Vsync ON in the Nvidia Control panel as standard then make sure vsync is off in the games you play. If it's on in both places, or off in both places then it can cause problems.

Assuming you're playing at less than 60fps anyway on a laptop so you just as well leave it turned on.
