Do i need to update my bios for gtx 1050ti?

getting a new graphics card zotac gtx 1050 ti oc edition and I'm wondering if I need to update the BIOS before installing the new card?

mobo z97-K asus
cpu i5-4460

If your system is ok as it is now, dont bother. And the board should accept this card no problem. I am using a 10 year old Asus board, and put a GTX 970 in there last year with no problems what so ever. It is even running an older BIOS version than the most recent update (2011)! This rollback was due to complications installing Windows 10 though - not the GPU.
If you run into BIOS problems, you can correct this later anyhow.
