I'm running into a bottleneck trying to stream more than 720p 30 fps with my i5-6600k and 980 ti. I can play and record up to 1440p60 with max settings on Fallout 4 no problem using Shadowplay, but even using NVENC, I have trouble pushing more than 720p 30 fps when streaming, and even that requires 4000 kbps to look decent dye to how inefficient NVENC encoding is. I'd like to be able to stream 1080p60 using x264 if possible, but id settle for really smooth high quality 720p60. I have a max upload speed of about 5800kbps.

Looking at purchasing an 8 core cpu fir this, if it's wOrth it.

Thank you, I've been looking over options for a streaming PC since others have suggested it. You think that would have the power required to encode in 1080p 60 fps? if so.. hell, that's really cheap. I'd just need that plus a capture card to send the video from my PC to the streaming PC right?

Quick question: could you recommend a good capture card for that?
