So today I bought an xbox one wired controller from gamestop and from what I've heard though I could be wrong, is it should be recognized as a device or atleast light up. I plugged it into my usb 3.0 port at the front of my pc and the thing doesn't even light up. Idk if I have to install drivers or if the wire just happens to be faulty, but some help would be greatly appreciated. I have windows ten btw so it should work fine.

Is it the 3rd party PDP controller? If its a wired xbox one controller it's not a Microsoft product so it may not be plug and play with windows like Microsoft controllers are.

I found this on PDP's site
