New Ryzen 1600 | GTX 1070 | Win10 build is randomly freezing

In September I built a new PC and everything on it worked perfectly up until about the beginning of November. Now I get seemingly random system lock ups, sometimes multiple times a day and other times not for a few days.

Description of lock up: The screen freezes on what it was displaying while audio may continue for a bit before jittering/looping the last millisecond of audio then completely stopping. KB/Mouse do not work (numlock light won't turn on/off if pressed) and the case power button does not work normally, only if held down for ~4 seconds. There doesn't seem to be any change in how the PC is running (like either cpu or gpu fans suddenly turning up or off) when it does happen.

It seems like it mainly happens when using an internet browser (have switched between browsers and that didn't help), most often while streaming youtube/twitch. However, the system will not freeze while playing a game and it seems like I can prevent it from freezing if I have a game running on a second monitor while browsing the internet.

Things I have tried:
-Clean install of Windows 10 on a different SSD
-reseating and changing channels of RAM
-lowering RAM clock from 2400 to 2133 (seemed to make the freeze less frequent)
-reseating GPU
-Cleaning out PSU
-Aida64, Furmark, Prime95, Memtest86 tests, all of which came back clean (although only run for 3-6 hours)
-Malwarebytes and Norton full system scans which came back clean
-Updating drivers, bios, and latest version of windows
-reverting to original bios (now back to most current)
-I have tried to leave task manager or HWinfo running on the second screen to see if I could catch anything that looked weird when it freezes but nothing has seemed really out of the ordinary
-Windows Event Manager doesn't seem like it gives an error besides unexpected shutdown/power loss

System Specs: Here is a pcpartpicker list of the parts
MOBO: ASRock AB350M Pro4
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Turbo
RAM: G.Skill - Aegis 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
PSU: Corsair CX600M (only part reused from last PC)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250gb

I’m honestly at a loss for what to do, I’m about to have to switch back to my Intel setup which I don’t want to do. Any input would be appreciated.

SOLVED: got new ram that is listed on the mobos support page and this completely solved it

What tasks are you doing, is it possible you are badly throttloing CPU/ GPU, or mobo VRM’s (if you have a oc) and if not you could have a dogy bios, which needs a re -install / update

Also have you hot a high ram voltage (over 1.35v) that could be an issue

mine isn't just a micro stutter like his, its a full freeze that I have to turn the pc off to get back in. But, I tried updating my ahci drivers to the most current amd ones and that didn't work. This is seriously infuriating, I do something that fixes a problem for someone else, it seems like its working, and then a random freeze. I did I prime95 test overnight last night and it ran fine the entire 10 hours. Maybe someone else can find something weird in the stats: https://imgur.com/a/TwLda

I have the same CPU and MoBo. Having the same exact issues. Did you find a solution to this frustrating issue? please get back to me.

I haven't fully solved it but it seems like I've stopped it from freezing while I'm actually using the pc. Now for the past 4 days it has only frozen when I leave it idle for a while. I think it was a combination of latest bios, turning down the ram clock (mine was 2400 to 2133), and changing my power settings in the nvidia control panel manage 3d settings > change power management mode to highest performance

EDIT: got new ram that is listed on the mobo support list and this seems to have solved it completely. Been up and running for 5 days with 0 freezes, even when left downloading overnight which would have frozen within an hour guaranteed on old ram.

That's what they were they entire time up until I just changed them to amd, and I had updated and reinstalled them all at least twice. The amd ones have made no difference
