Here is the build I am looking at doing for new computer that will be for gaming along with doing Autocad and Solidworks for my Capstone classes.

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus X Formula
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
Ram: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB DDR4 3000
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3
Case: Evga DG-87
Power Supply: Seasonic Flagship PRIME SERIES SSR-850GD 850W

I will be using liquid cooling for this with hard line tubing and hard drives I will be taking from my old build. The case I am not totally sold on but don't like the craze with the tempered glass cases. The only reason is the its one of the few for big radiators with Usb C.

Solution
You can also go for the cheaper focus plus 850w.

I would also ask you to go for a monoblock
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fb-ga-z270-z370-rgb-monoblock-nickel
So a gigabyte aorus gaming 5 / 7 would be the mobo. If you want rgb sync in ur rams, go for corsair vengeance rgb.
And since you are gonna do a custom loop, y not go for this 1080ti https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GV-N108TAORUSX-WB-11GD-GeForce-Waterforce/dp/B07317H6CK/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&dpID=51NIEfzE-2L&dpPl=1&keywords=Gtx%201080ti&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&qid=1513240316&ref=plSrch&ref_=mp_s_a_1_6&sr=1-6

The ram I want to keep it the Gskill they have the best looking one as of right now. I have been trying to find out but how much of a temperature difference does liquid cooling do with this cpu compared to air not for the cost but just cooling along since the cpu runs hot.

Ppl go for custom loops for 2 reasons, 1) extreme overclocking [so u can be pretty sure that ur performance metrics will be better than a NH D15 or R1 Ultimate] or 2) just to look cool.

With the g.skill u would be required to control the rgb with the G.Skill software instead of gigabyte's rgb fusion. I mean, u got the mobo, monoblock and gpu to sync with ur rgb fusion.

I am only thinking this way for the case not sure what one I want with it but the Evga is just too big for my desk as of right now. I have seen the Gskill memory is now controlled with the Fusion program.

After seeing a review with the airflow it sounds like thats good for semi overclocking case and show off case but thats about it. I should mention I really dont like the glass craze that is going on rather stick with acrylic panels. Now being that the one case that I dont mind with glass its the Coolermaster C700p since it is tooless and is magnetic to hold on the glass means less of a chance to break from over tightening or even just barely tightening the screws to hold it on. The other cases I have been looking at too are the Corsair 780T and 760T either one of those have everything I am looking for but the Usb C port.

I only like it for both the glass is tool less which means less of a chance to break it from putting it back on and the tool less part is the key I dont like having the hardware that I can loose anytime when taking off the side.

I should probably ask one more thing that I have no clue on what to get for monitors. I am looking at 3 of them starting out at 24 inches my stand can go up to about 27 maybe pushing 28 inches with a very thin bezel.
I have one question about the reservoir combo kit do I need to buy that or can buy the same thing but separate with a larger reservoir tube?

A smaller kit, the ek pump res combo would also do. A 280/240 rad for ur cpu and a 360 rad for the gpu is the most you need.

Regarding monitors, I am biased towards 21:9 ultrawide like the aoc or acer predator x34. But if that's not what u are looking for, go for 27"
