Updating chipset drivers?

I have an FX 8350 and wanted to update the drivers but have a few questions. Do I also need to flash the bios and( just to be certain) the FX 8350 is part of the 8 series correct?

Why do you want to update? Is there an issue you think would be corrected by it?

AMD FX 8xxx mean it got 8 cores

Well I just don't think it would hurt to have updated drivers, the ones currently, as best as I can tell, are from 2006, the latest are 2015. I know it's an 8 core cpu, but on AMD's site when selecting drivers they list cpu's as 6 series, 7 series, 8 series, etc, etc.

You the chipset driver is for the motherboard, not the cpu.
