Planning on getting a 1070 TI, should I wait for Volta price drop?

I have basically made up my mind on getting a 1070 ti, but I did a little research and found that there is usually a considerable price drop associated with the release of the next NVidia series. Since Volta is being released sooner or later, I was wondering if it would be worth waiting. I have only recently joined the PC building game, so I have no prior experience with gpu economics.
Thanks.

Even when new generations of card coming out you will not going to see much price drops. In fact before you can find a lot of them being discounted most of them already gone. Nvidia to certain extend did manage their inventory level so they will not have to do official price cut to sell older generation GPU

No, I have basically decided on the 1070ti, I was just wondering how much, if any, of a price drop will come out when volta is released. I have heard it happening to the 9 series when the 10 series first came out.

Do you guys think any of the GTX 10 series cards will drop in price, with new cards coming next march or it is hopeless for me to think to snatch a 1060 or 1070 for a lesser price?
