When i installed my new CPU (intel Core i7-7700 Desktop Processor 8M Cache, 3.6GHz (Max Turbo Frequency 4.20GHz) 7th Generation) and boot my pc the resolution is wrong, its as if i installed a new graphics card and did'nt have the right drivers. What do i need to do? I went from a i3 to 17, i did update the bios on my mother board

Specs
Mother board- B150M Mortar
CPU- Intel i7
GPU- GTX 1050
16gbs of RAM

Solution
You should install/update your Nvidia drivers, but Intel CPUs still have a graphics driver. I would download the latest Intel HD Graphics driver as well. If you went up a generation, let alone a different HD graphics level the old driver might be causing an issue.

And of course, make sure your monitor is plugged into your graphics card.
